Purpose of peer review

The peer-review process is central to maintaining the scientific quality, integrity, and credibility of IJAIITCE. Reviewers are expected to provide fair, constructive, and timely evaluations that help editors make informed publication decisions and assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

The role of the reviewer

The reviewer's role is to provide a constructive, impartial, and expert critique of the manuscript. Your feedback helps the editors make an informed publication decision and assists the authors in improving their work.

IJATMS operates a double-blind peer review process. Please ensure your review comments do not contain any information that could reveal your identity.

Confidentiality and ethics

1. Confidentiality: The manuscript is a privileged document. Do not share, discuss, or use any information from the manuscript, including the abstract, with anyone outside of the peer review process.
2. Timeliness: Please return your review promptly by the deadline to ensure a timely publication process for the authors. If you require an extension, please notify the Editorial Office immediately.
3. Conflict of Interest (COI): Declare any potential conflicts of interest immediately (e.g., if you are a collaborator, have a professional rivalry, or if the research is from your current institution). If you suspect the authors' identity, and this poses a COI, please inform the editor.

Reviewers must adhere to the highest ethical standards:

• Confidentiality: Manuscripts and associated data must be treated as confidential and not shared or used for personal advantage.
• Conflict of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts (financial, professional, or personal) that could influence your review.
• Objectivity: Reviews should be impartial, evidence-based, and free from personal bias.
• Originality Concerns: Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices to the editor.

Scope of review: key evaluation criteria

Your review should address the following points.

Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

1 Originality and Contribution

• Novelty of the research idea or approach
• Significance and contribution to the field
• Advancement of existing knowledge or practice

2 Technical Quality

• Soundness of methodology and experimental design
• Appropriateness of models, algorithms, or theoretical frameworks
• Validity and reliability of results

3 Clarity and Organization

• Logical structure and flow of the manuscript
• Clarity of objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
• Quality of language, figures, tables, and references

4 Relevance

• Alignment with the aims and scope of IJAIITCE
• Practical or theoretical relevance to researchers and practitioners

Review Report Guidelines

Reviewers should provide

• Constructive comments aimed at improving the manuscript
• Specific feedback referencing sections, equations, or figures where applicable
• Balanced assessment, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses

Comments should be professional, respectful, and clear. Personal criticism of authors is not acceptable.

Structuring your review report

Please structure your report into three distinct sections:

A. Summary for the Editor (Confidential)

Provide a brief, confidential summary of the paper, its main findings, and your overall assessment (strengths and weaknesses). This section should exclusively address the Editor and inform the final decision.

B. Major Comments (Mandatory for Revision)

List fundamental flaws that must be addressed before the paper can be considered for acceptance. These usually include:

• Critical errors in mathematical derivations or proofs.
• Major gaps in the theoretical foundation or literature review.
• Lack of clarity or justification for the methods used.
• Conclusions that are not adequately supported by the results.

C. Minor/Specific Comments (Suggestions for Improvement)

List smaller issues that, while not critical to rejection, would significantly enhance the paper's readability and quality. These include:

• Typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, or awkward phrasing.
• Suggestions for clearer figure/table captions or placement.
• Missing units, poorly formatted equations, or minor citation inconsistencies.

Recommendation categories

Based on your expert evaluation, please select one of the following recommendations:

1. Accept: The paper is ready for publication.
2. Minor Revision: The paper is sound but requires minor changes (e.g., clarity improvements, addressing minor methodological points).
3. Major Revision: The paper shows promise but requires substantial modifications (e.g., new analysis, significant rewriting of introduction/discussion, correcting flawed proofs). A second review is usually required.
4. Reject: The paper is fundamentally flawed, out of scope, or makes no significant original contribution.

Timeliness

Reviewers are expected to complete reviews within the specified timeframe. If delays are unavoidable, please inform the editorial office as soon as possible.

Use of AI tools

Reviewers may use AI-based tools for language checking or assistance but must ensure:

• Independent intellectual judgment is maintained
• Confidentiality of the manuscript is not compromised
• AI tools are not used to generate the review content without human oversight

Communication with editors

Any serious concerns regarding ethics, data integrity, or publication standards should be communicated privately to the editor through the review system.
